Face to Face Appointment
If it is established that you should make a face to face appointment with your doctor, please ensure you wear an appropriate mask and sanitise your hands upon entering the clinic.

Telehealth
Telephone Consultations are billed to the same criteria as face-to-face appointments. Fees do apply and we are happy to take your credit card payment over the phone.
You can book your telephone appointments by phoning the clinic on 97493200 or through the Hotdocs app.

Dr Elissa Armitage
Dr Elissa Armitage graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1993 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She trained at St Vincent's hospital in Melbourne, then worked at Geelong base Hospital and The Warrnambool base Hospital.
Dr Carolyn Sharwood
Dr Carolyn Sharwood graduated from Monash University in 1992. She achieved her Diploma of Obstetrics in 1997, a Family Planning Certificate in 1999 and her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1999.
Dr Peter Desmond
Dr Peter Desmond has been providing medical services to the Hoppers Crossing community for 24 years. He has a broad range of medical experience to assist his patients.
Dr Sue Scala
Dr Sue Scala obtained her medical degree from Monash University in 1975 with 1st Class Honours. Following some hospital experience in Melbourne and Geelong, she worked for several years as a GP in Geelong.

Appointments

HCMC runs by appointments, however we do keep openings for emergencies. You can make an appointment with the doctor of your choice by phoning the clinic or via our online appointment system by downloading the HCMC app from the App store.
Fees & Billings

HCMC is a mixed billing practice with Aged Care Pensioners being bulk billed and Concession card holders billed at a discounted fee. Private and Concession card holders need to finalise their accounts at the time of consultation
Home Visits & After Hours Appointments

Home visits can be arranged on a case by case basis for regular patients that are unable to come to the clinic due to severity of their illness and the availability of our doctors.
Courtesy Reminders & Recalls

Hoppers Crossing Medical Centre is committed to preventative care and has a system of registering patients for recall for clinically significant results and preventative advice.
Repeat Prescriptions or Referral

This service is only available for Hoppers Crossing Medical Centre patients, where the original script was provided by one of our GP’s and the patient has been seen by a GP at the clinic within the past 3 – 6 months.
Telephone Enquiries to your GP

During consultations, our doctors cannot be disturbed, but our receptionist will be able to relay a message to them outside of consultation hours and advise you when you’re call will be returned. Emergencies will be acted on Immediately.
