HCMC runs by appointments, however we do keep openings for emergencies. You can make an appointment with the doctor of your choice by phoning the clinic or via our online appointment system by downloading the HCMC app from the App store. Urgent medical issues will be dealt with promptly. Appointments are made at 10-20 minute intervals, when making your appointment please advise staff if you need extra time or have multiple issues to discuss.
Your health is our priority and your GP may need to see you more than once to check everything is OK. You are likely to need a follow up appointment if
- Your condition needs monitoring and on-going management
- Your treatment requires continued assessment and review
- Your pathology test results are abnormal (GP‘s are obligated to follow-up with patients who have abnormal results. Our GPs will often recommend further assessments to find the cause of the problem)
- Your pathology test results are normal but you feel your symptoms are persistent or getting worse
Nobody likes to be kept waiting and our GP’s try to adhere to the appointment schedule. However, they do sometimes run behind due to a patient requiring urgent medical attention. We regret any inconvenience caused to patients when this occurs and we will do our best to keep you informed of wait times.
SMS appointment reminders are automatically sent to our patients the day before the scheduled appointment. If you need to change your appointment time, please contact us on 97493200 as soon as possible.
